I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (and shared them first in this post!), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also had them long enough that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.

Where did you end up buying them?
I discovered mine on sale via Cettire and purchased them that way!
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick – definitely a bonus
How expensive are they?
When I bought my pair in spring, I paid $385.43, but their full price is around $514.

Do they fit as expected?
I found them to fit true to size, at least for me.
They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a grey goose shoes size
How comfy are they?
They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they reduce sweat. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in synthetic materials. Plus, they’re already distressed so your feet just adjust easily.
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid. Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the sparkle on mine? Next-level.
Would you recommend them?
Yes! Just try not to pay full price. They cost a lot, so getting them discounted is smarter. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. Mine have pink glitter, but a low-key version would also be smart.
